Information will be sent to you and detailed instructions will be available on the Husky Hub. See the "Logging On" section below in the Table of Contents for log-in information.
Initial course placement is based on your major and your ACT/ SAT scores or Math Diagnostic Test results. Schedules will be adjusted in July by the Office of Student Records and Registration if you receive Advanced Placement (AP) or transfer credit for any courses in which you are registered.
Students in the College of Engineering will have their schedules prepared for them by the Office of Student Records and Registration in mid-July. Students are scheduled into cohorts (groups of students who take the same courses together) based on major, ACT/SAT scores or Math Diagnostic Test results, and any AP or transfer credit that is received.
Important Course Scheduling Notes
- Schedules will be available to view on the Husky Hub in late July.
- All first-year students will complete their fall course schedule during registration at Orientation. Most first-year students will add a section of UN1001: Perspectives on Inquiry (unless you receive AP or transfer credit for it). During Orientation registration, you will also be able to add any other necessary courses to complete your fall schedule or make changes after consulting with your academic advisor.
- Your initial schedule may not reflect full-time status, but all first-time freshmen are pre-billed for 15 credits which will make you eligible for financial aid.
- You may add physical education courses, general education courses, or other elective courses to your schedule during Orientation.
- Be sure to have your college transcript and/or AP results sent to Michigan Tech to receive proper credit.
