The Campus Bookstore is the University’s full-service, on-campus store and your source for textbooks. The Campus Bookstore is conveniently located on the first floor of the Memorial Union Building and features extended hours at the beginning of each semester.
Each semester, the average first-year student spends $400 to $600 on textbooks. Used books are offered whenever possible, and buying used books will save you 25 percent or more. If you purchase your books online through the Campus Bookstore, you will get the books you need, and they will be waiting for you to pick up when you arrive on campus. If you would rather stop in, we have friendly staff available to assist you in any way.
Cash, check, Express Cash, Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express are accepted for all purchases. For your convenience, financial aid refunds can be used as Campus Bookstore credit to purchase textbooks with proper ID for a limited time at the beginning of each semester. See our website for more information. First-time users must come to the store in person to fill out the authorization form.
The Campus Bookstore has a satellite operation, called University Images, located within the Student Development Complex. This store carries a broad selection of Michigan Tech logo apparel, gifts, and souvenirs, but does not carry textbooks.
If your parents or guardians would like
to help you purchase items at the Campus
Bookstore, they can give you limited access
to their credit card by completing the credit
card authorization form at www.bookstore.mtu.edu. Choose the Campus Bookstore link.
Return the form by mail or fax before school
starts. We will keep it on file through the
academic year. You must present a current
photo ID to use this service.
