Where are you from?
Outside Buffalo, NY...Lancaster to be exact

Undergraduate Major?
I majored in Biology as an undergrad, and have my graduate degree in Student Affairs and Higher Education Administration.

Why did you decide to become involved with the Orientation program?
Since my junior year of undergrad, I have been involved in Orientation programs, mainly because I love assisting new students at the beginning of their college experience. It is great to help new Michigan Tech students start off on the right foot here at Tech.

What is your favorite thing to do at Michigan Tech?
Explore the area, there is so much to see! I also love music and attending concerts, plays, and musicals on campus. I enjoy attending local and Husky sports events, outdoor activities, and playing with my dog, Carolina.

What was your favorite class that you have ever taken?
I was a Biology major as an undergrad and was fascinated by a course I took in Immunology. However, in grad school my favorite course was Student Development Theory, where I learned all about the identity development of college students.

Any advice for new students?
Make the most of your Orientation experience and beyond! Get to know your fellow Michigan Tech students, and get involved on campus. Seek out all the wonderful opportunities available for you here, both in and out of class.
